Shaylee Baker
POD C 6-8 Reading Intervention Teacher
My name is Shaylee Baker. I have been teaching for five years at Ojibwa Indian School. I taught first grade for two years and three years in middle school. I am currently an Reading Intervention teacher for 6th-8th grade. I love teaching reading because I have always had a passion for reading. I find joy in breaking down the story elements and teaching new content to students. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in May 2018. I also received my Special Education Certificate in May of 2022. My favorite things are golfing, journaling, spending time with friends and family, and soaking up the sun. My favorite season is summer because I can spend most of my time outdoors. I enjoy spending weekends with my nieces Jaylee, Khloe, and Gwen. I also love to shop for anything and everything. I LOVE anything Disney and have a lifelong dream of going to Disney World one day. My favorite Disney/Pixar movies include: the Toy Story franchise, Monsters Inc, and Ratatouille.
